Grown from everyday Kiwi moments

We started with a straightforward observation: most nutrition advice ignores the reality of life in Aotearoa — the cost of groceries, the multicultural dinner table, and the sheer busyness of a Wellington week.

Why we're here

After years of watching mates and neighbours cycle through restrictive diets, we spotted a gap. People wanted guidance that respected their culture, budget, and time — not another list of banned foods.

Our practice is about building sustainable rhythms. We work alongside clients to find what already works in their week, then introduce gradual shifts that actually stick.

2019

The first kōrero

Informal workshops in a Johnsonville community hall drew a small group curious about seasonal eating.

The turnout confirmed what we'd suspected — Wellington locals wanted approachable, no-nonsense nutrition support without the guilt trip.
2021

A home on Broderick Road

We opened consultation rooms at 8 Broderick Road, staying connected to the northern Wellington community.

Having a physical space meant clients could pop in after work, and it grounded us in the neighbourhood that shaped our earliest ideas.
2023

Reaching across the region

Video consultations let us support clients from Lower Hutt to the Kāpiti Coast.

The core approach stayed the same — practical, patient, and rooted in New Zealand ingredients and shopping habits.
Today

Continuing with purpose

We refine our methods through ongoing learning and honest client feedback.

Every session starts with listening. We offer ideas that honour individual circumstances — never a one-size-fits-all prescription.

Non-judgemental

No shame, no scare tactics — just honest, practical kōrero about food.

Locally rooted

Guidance shaped by Aotearoa seasons, shops, and multicultural kitchens.

Transparent

Clear fees, honest scope, and open about what we are — and aren't.
